A night before Christmas

Hello!
Today I have a layout inspired by our beautiful winter moodboard. It's hard not to get in a creative mood when seeing it!

I used a Prima paper as a base and a bunch of the vintage items from the Zeus and Zoe kit. Old newspaper, cotton lace, buttons and metal decorations. The main decorative element are the gorgeous burlap Prima flowers.
I have also added some stencil pattern with a modelling paste, gesso and some accents of gold paint (media from my personal stash)

Here is the inspiring moodboard created by Charlie:

Thanks for stopping by,  I hope you will come around and play with out moodboard this month!

Make your gift personal - by DT Zanka

Hello!
I'm popping in today with a quick and simple inspiration - it's all about giving and making it personal!
If you just spend few minutes on decorating the present bag, you can turn the most ordinary brown present bag into something personal and really special.
I have a set here, a small card and a matching bag, where I decorated the front.

It really doesn't require a lot of supplies, quite a contrary-you can use bits and pieces from your 'nice to have, perhaps I can use it again ' bin.
I decorated my object with some awesome background vintage paper, which was to thin to hold a LO, but works perfect as a layer. I have added some die cuts in contrasting emerald green, plus the flowers, pieces of lace, cotton strips, chipboard and pearls.
All of above comes from Zeus and Zoe etsy store.

Hope you had a good time here today!
Cheers!

Now is the time - fall

Happy Monday!
Fall is in full swing in our part of the world, that means you will see it at least in few of my upcoming projects
Here's my first fall-theme layout of this season.

From my stash I have picked a neutral light paper for my background (Dreamer from 7 Dots Studio) and I have complemented it with the items from my Zeus and Zoe kit.
You will see few scraps of papers, authentic old newspaper, washi tape and cotton lace. In my kit I also had this sweet flower vine (Prima) and a flower pack from Manor house - these I saved for another project, but the packaging came handy! The beautiful brown roses are cut out from this package :) Finally a golden button instead of a brad and some Prima chipboards to add dimension. Zeus and Zoe kits contain such a variation of items, you can do so much with it!

Thanks for stopping by today, wishing you a great week! Don't forget to have a look at Zeus and Zoe Etsy store.

Beautiful - mixed media canvas by Zanka

Hey there:)
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
In my last DT post I hinted that I might continue playing with a self-made background and so I did :)

Today I have a mixed media canvas to show, with the background made from scratch, that is using pieces of vintage papers and magazines which I found in my Z&Z kit.
I adhered the pieces randomly to the canvas using modpodge and I sealed the surface with matte medium.
Then I white-washed the whole background with gesso and added some splashes of colour, coordinated with the colours of the picture wanted to use.

I particularly like the authentic vintage laces which were also included in my kit, here I used pieces of it to add some dimension.

Here you can see the 'work in progress' shot, when the bacground was ready and waiting for the rest of embellishments to arrive:)

Thanks for stopping by at our Zeus and Zoe blog!

This is happiness - by Zanka

Hello friends!
I'm so happy to be sharing my first project created with Zeus and Zoe kit! I can tell you , this stuff is addicting and as I've adhered the last piece on this one, I already started to think what to do next!

My kit contained among others  an old magazine, which kick started my creative process. I created the background on a light cardstock, using pieces of the old paper, gesso, stencils and watercolours to make this mixed media background.
Just wanted to show, that you can create light, colourful, shabby chic projects with the vintage kit!

I had a grand time designing this background and I think next time I might expand this idea and cover the whole page. I still have some beautiful old prints left in my kit!

Most of the embellishments I used are coming from Zeus and Zoe store. Check it out!
From my stash I picked: chipboard, pink flower (the dark one), gesso and watercolours.

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!

Meet Zanka!!!

Here is Zanka!!!

My name is Zaneta Glowa aka Zanka. I grew up in the south of Poland and I lived in Krakow for many years before moving over the Baltic Sea in 2003 and settling  in Sweden for good :)
Before year 2010 I knew literally nothing about scrapbooking, this was when this amazing world has opened its door to me and took me by the storm. At work I’m all fact and figures and I realized I needed a field to exercise my creativity and give vent to emotions. It’s also a way for me to slow down after a busy, fast pace day and let’s face it - make some mess ;)
I love to create when it’s calm around me, with only some music on. I’m trying to explore different expressions and styles, although I’m most often staying within a romantic, feminine stream. I love to add a mixed media touch to my works. My key discoveries during my journey so far have been: stamps, gesso and Twinkling H2Os.
You are warmly welcome to visit my blog at
