First of all  I would like to thank Marivic clifton  (owner of zeus and zoe ) for making the whole DT package filled with prima goodies and this Goodies are now used in my newest prima Layout  . I was  star struck on the paper I have from the Z&Z Store and that paper started the whole Thing I prepared a Tutorial for you guys (since I'm an Educator on Zeus and store so it's my job to show you the whole thing ) Prima goodies are perfect for layouts that are not over embellished or layouts that are fun and Shabby.. Here in my layout you''ll see that I have  a big blank space, well I decided to create a page that has small embellished areas and big areas for mix-media !! "Don't Believe the Lie" Mixed Media Canvas

Hello everyone!

This is a bittersweet day for me. Unfortunately this is my last project as Zeus & Zoe DT member. This has been a great experience and one that I would truly cherish. Thank you so much Marivic for believing in my talents, you truly are an amazing person.

Okay enough of the mushy stuff (wink) Lets get on with the project share.

So one day I was feeling very down and defeated. A lot of negative thoughts and emotions were going through my head and I was trying to figure out a way to kick that feeling so I decided to create intuitively. I got a bunch of chipboard letters/thickers  and spelled out all the "lies" I was thinking about myself. Then I wanted to turn it into something positive so I spelled out "Don't Believe the Lie".  I wanted this canvas to be sort of like a crossword puzzle meets scrabble. So I made the word "LIE" in BeLIEve large.  I wanted the words to be scattered around the canvas and certain letters in certain words to merge to form separate words.  At the bottom of the canvas I put an uplifting quote "Blinded by the lies of this world, Enlightened by the truth of God's Word" "Your attitude determines your direction" then I concluded by adding a Tim Holtz tag that states "Encourage your hopes not your fears" .  I love how this turned out, and now when those lies try to creep into my thoughts I have something I can look at to remind me not to BeLIEve the lie.

I hope I was able to inspire you all during my term and I thank you for taking the time to read my posts. Now its time to say goodbye!

Dreams Do Come True...

Yup! Another LO from the #1 Son's wedding day! This time I've used the vintage lace from my DT kit in a slightly different way....take a peek. What do you think?
The pretty patterned paper behind the lace also comes from Marivic's Etsy Shop, as does that gorgeous Prima bloom.
I've tucked a little metal butterfly in close to the bling & lace trims - all from my DT kit. Do you see the lovely glimmery gold in the background? That's an Adirondack gold paint dabber, through a Prima mask - behind is some white Dylusions spray over a plastic doily mask......
Some more of that lovely trim, with a gorgeous shimmery button from the Etsy shop.....
I must say, I've had a ball using my Zeus & Zoe goodies in amongst my other bits & pieces - such as these SRM stickers below... can you see the alphabet background stamp? That was in my kit as well:):)
I've been sooo excited at receiving my kit, that I really couldn't help myself & have been scrapping like a maniac! Hopefully that will settle down a bit!!!
Thanks for looking ~ and happy scrapping,
Lizzy ♥♥♥

Reflections

Hello, everyone!

I think that I have been freezing since November.  As I put this lay out together, it was nice to be reminded how warm I was at the beach. I was ankle deep in the ocean, practicing reflection shots.

In my Zeus and Zoe goodies, I had vintage book pages with images of swimming suits.  One of my vintage buttons is even sporting an anchor and fit right in with this gang!

Today we are supposed to have a high of 8ºF/-13ºC with wind chills making it feel like -20ºF/-29ºC.  I'm going to continue to stare at the beach after I make myself some hot cocoa.

Stay warm!

Ink and flowers make me happy!

Ink and flowers make me happy!

I Just love bringing my Zeus and Zoe box out to play!
Each time is like a new adventure into inspiration!

My inspiration today came from the beautiful flowers, vintage buttons and vintage jewelry.
I combined the goodies from Zeus and Zoe with some recycled items and lots of purple ink to create this:

As you can see there are many different things on this canvas!
What do you think?

Vintage Glam Bling Wedding Bouquet

Hola my crafty divas!

I am super ecstatic to share this DT project with you all. I've been eying on Pinterest those beautiful brooch bouquets and I put it on my "to make one day" list. So when a bride to be contacted me asking if I could make her a bling bouquet I was over the moon. I FINALLY get to try it out. I used 4 synthetic roses and then the rest of the flowers were handmade by yours truly.  I added lots of pearl and bling accents, then to top it all off I added some feathers.  Here is the final result.

Thank you all so much for sharing your time with me and have a fabulous day!

Shabby Window Frame

This is my debut project for Zeus and Zoe. The vintage lace and buttons from Zeus and Zoe inspired me to make something that had shabby-vintage flair.

My goal this year is to do more "Off The Page" projects.  I dug through my mini albums and canvases, looking for a format that clicked.  In my closet I found a pack of six mini canvases.  I decided to do only four of the 3"x3" mini canvases.  When I placed them on my desk, they made me think of looking out of paned window.

I built the four paneled frame from heavy chipboard.  I wanted it to look like it an old window, with layers of paint and cracks that had accumulated over the years.  After I built the frame, I knew that it lacked the elegance found in shabby beauty.

In my stash I had a large Dusty Attic chipboard frame.  I took the flourish from the frame and added it to the top of my window.

I used layers of lace, doilies, and buttons that I received from Zeus and Zoe to build the large flowers.

I altered some of the charms and buttons with either gesso and mist, or with embossing powder.

The embossing powder, "Adobe Fire," from Lindy's Stamp Gang, gave the butterfly a beautiful sheen, which you can see better in the picture below.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my project.

Have a great day!

Hi there! Lizzy here with my very first project for Zeus & Zoe, using the wonderful box of goodies Marivic sent me from her Etsy Shop:)
I've just gotten a pile of wedding photos taken off....& the vintage-y elements [with a modern twist!] work sooo well for this!
I wanted to get all the 'dancing' shots on one page, so I sorta went for a 'circle' design...that gorgeous flower & the heart [it was silver, but I painted it gold] from my kit made a nice 'central' point for the page.
I've cut into the lovely pp so that it didn't all get hidden behind the photos, and had fun splotching around some of the Lindy's Stamp Gang 'Gossamer Gold' paint that I got in my kit...
...never used it before....I'm now in serious ♥♥♥ with it! I've also used the 'Rudolph's Nose' red colour in with my molding paste, to  create those pink circl-ish splodges in the bg too:)
I'm a bit of a flair fanatic, so I've added some in here....I mean, my Mum & bro really WERE rocking it!!! The little gold button from my pack worked beautifully beside it.....in fact, I rather went a tad overboard with the buttons!!!
And I've discovered layering sequins is pretty neat, too:):)

The delish lace & trims that Marivic stocks worked really well around the page:)
Hope you've enjoyed taking a peek at my page ~ I certainly had a ball making it:):)
Thanks for looking & Happy Scrapping:)

Hello Crafters!

Happy New Year!

I hope this finds your new year going fabulous. My DT kit came from the Zeus and Zoe store.

This is my first project for ZZ. Whew hew. It was so much fun putting this layout together.

Here's the finished layout:

I admit I created this layout to enter into 2 specific challenges. The kit from ZZ was perfect to make this happen. I added a few bits from my stash.

Here are some close ups:
