A captured fairy, vintage coin purse and a Christmas ornaments

Vintage jewelry has always been a part of my life. As a little girl I used to go through a jewelry box full of vintage pieces that my mother got from an old aunt. I'd hold them piece by piece, examine them and imagine where they might have been worn and on what occasion. I can think of no better way to do them justice than to showcase them in a new piece of jewelry and given new life!

In my first piece I captured a fairy sunning herself near her favorite tree! A couple of vintage doily pieces in the background accent the charm pieces that I added to small recycled tin. Then I added a couple of the vintage jewelry pieces to a chain with jump rings. It's a fun piece to wear and will make a great little gift for someone to appreciate.

My second piece is a plain fabric coin purse that I altered by adding a doily adorned with half-back pearls, a piece of dangling beaded trim and a lovely cameo piece to the closure, giving an overall vintage feel to a functional piece.

And finally, I recycled a small wooden tray to make a  Christmas scene ornament. First I lined the tray with a GCD Authentic paper, then I added some vintage ephemera, buttons, jingle bell, small wooden spool, thread bobbin, and a tiny doily.

I also glued a wooden frame with a vintage image to which I had applied some Ranger Crackle Accent for that 'shattered glass' look. Finally, a little glittery trim, some Stickles and a little Sno-Tex were added for a finishing touch.

A strip of paisley print ribbon was tucked in behind for a tie/holder and  I wove two strips of burlap ribbon to cover the entire surface on the back of the tray, framing it with that natural element. I hope you enjoyed these simple little projects!

sweet memories box by Tusia Lech

Hello,

Here is Tusia Lech today with altered box. As a base I have used a box in a shape of beautiful flower. I covered it with Distress Paint and then I cut out flowery shape from scrapbooking paper, that was meant to be cover the lid. I stamped it with 7 Dots Studio stamps and StazOn ink. Then I glued it down and on all edges I applied Prima Chalk Ink - Old Rose.

Than I started embellishing. In my Zeus&Zoe kit I have found beautiful, pink ribbon, that I have used to embellish the box - I placed it around the cover.

When I embellish an object, that is meant to be useful, I try to avoid too much elements - because I like when my altered objects can be easily cleaned and are easy for using. So on the top of the box I glued down using hot gun glue two wonderful, fabric flowers (fabric flowers are much more sturdy, than paper ones) and have added some metal embellishments.

All used products come from Zeus & Zoe etsy store

My daughter felt in love with this cute box and uses it as a keepsake box.
Have a great day!

Make your gift personal - by DT Zanka

Hello!
I'm popping in today with a quick and simple inspiration - it's all about giving and making it personal!
If you just spend few minutes on decorating the present bag, you can turn the most ordinary brown present bag into something personal and really special.
I have a set here, a small card and a matching bag, where I decorated the front.

It really doesn't require a lot of supplies, quite a contrary-you can use bits and pieces from your 'nice to have, perhaps I can use it again ' bin.
I decorated my object with some awesome background vintage paper, which was to thin to hold a LO, but works perfect as a layer. I have added some die cuts in contrasting emerald green, plus the flowers, pieces of lace, cotton strips, chipboard and pearls.
All of above comes from Zeus and Zoe etsy store.

Hope you had a good time here today!
Cheers!
DT Zanka

You and Me

Hi Zeus and Zoe fans! Dana here today sharing a vibrant, playful layout. I decided to take a break from my seasonal crafting and just have fun with some bright flowers and these great photos of my Sister-In-Law and her sweet bulldog.

My Zeus and Zoe Kit was full of vintage postcards, journaling cards and tags that I used to build up some layers on this page.

I stamped, painted and added molding paste through a stencil onto the base of my layout. I separated the layers of a textured bloom and tucked them under and around my photos. I added a vintage button to the flower center.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Charllie's Steampunk BALL

Hi guys ! Charllie here Thank you for stopping by and I'm gonna share today a  crazy project I created for Christmas it is  a Ball that had a little bit touch of feminine and masculine . It is a big project mostly I will hang this on my wall. the project was really hard tp make since I tried to make the whole thing grunge but ended up slightly steam-punk (but I loved it :) . but nevermind everything is art and if your happy and I'm happy

Last time I created a layout and an album , So I was thinking of a new altered project so I came up with this steam-punk Christmas
ball which is big !! SO I spotted to put some birds and lots' of male accents and with girl tones

I used a lot of my handmade mini roses and a lot of Zeus and zoe products such as papers , paint, prima roses, metal gears , metal embellishments , pins , and such !! So it was awesome to have this piece I just started to paint it with Tim holtz crackle paint but It' didn't work to the styroball so I just made it clear black !!  More often I will hang this piece to my place :)
