A vintage lay-out by Romy

Hi there! It's Romy and I have a vintage lay-out to share with you, that I made using some of the gorgeous items from the Zeus & Zoe Etsy store. This photo of my friend and me was taken a few weeks ago, when it was still typically winter cold. But actually I was really in the mood for summer, so I decided to make a rather summery lay-out for this photo.

The gorgeous vintage papers with the script printed on it are from my Zeus and Zoe kit. I also matted my photo on an old postcard and an old book page, which are from Zeus & Zoe Etsy store too. The Webster's flower and vintage buttons are also from my Zeus & Zoe kit.

The flower actually had a pearl in its center, but I changed it into one of the vintage buttons, as I thought that gave the flower a nice vintage twist.

Have you checked out Marivic' Etsy store yet? She regulary adds new items to it and you can find wonderful items for each style of scrapbooking in the store. If you like, you can take a look here and see for yourself :)

Thank you so much for taking a look at our blog today! I will be back later this week to show you my example for the 'Love' challenge.

Diva

Hi! It's Romy here and I would like to share a lay-out with you that I made with my gorgeous vintage kit from Zeus & Zoe. This lay-out is about my dear niece Elise, wearing her favourite sunglasses. Doesn't she look like a real diva?

I used los of layers on my lay-out and also incorporated a sheet of music note paper, which was part of my Zeus & Zoe kit. I also used a chipboard crown, a pearl strand, vintage buttons, rig rag ribbon and a chipboard key from Zeus & Zoe

I first inked the chipboard crown and then painted it with crackle paint to give it a vintage look. I also made a bow with the beautiful rig rag ribbon and tucked it among the papers.

I hope you enjoyed my post.
Also don't forget to check out our January challenge. You have until midnight to play along for a chance to win a lovely Maja Design prize package.
Thank you so much for stopping by!

January challenge: your word for 2013

First of all, I would like to wish you a very happy and healthy 2013! I hope it will be a beautiful year for you.

It's the first day of January, which means that it's also time for a new challenge:
I thought it would be a nice idea to make a New Year's challenge: scrap about your word for 2013. At the beginning of a new year, I always pick a word that I want to live by for that year. For example I have chosen the word 'explore' for 2013, as I want to spend more time exploring the world, exploring chances and exploring myself. My challenge for you is to choose your own word that you want to live by in 2013 and to scrap about this word. This can be in whatever way you want: you can make an art journal, a lay-out, a card, an altered item. Whatever you like to record the word that you want to live by.

This is my example for the challenge. On my lay-out I journaled about my word for 2013, which is 'explore'. I have used several items from my vintage kit from the Zeus & Zoe Etsy store on my lay-out.

In this embellishment cluster I have used a gorgeous Webster's Pages flower and a beautiful vintage button that were part of my Zeus & Zoe kit. Also do you see the beautiful gold lacing below my photo? That was part of my Zeus & Zoe kit too.
You can find more gorgeous embellishments like these in the Zeus & Zoe Etsy store, where you can also put together your own vintage kit.

This month we have an amazing prize to offer, that is sponsored by the Swedish brand Maja Design. The chosen winner and the random winner will both receive a 6 x 6" paper pads from their beautiful 'Walking in the Forest' collection:

A lay-out in honour of my mom

I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas. On one of the last days of 2012 I have another lay-out to share that I made with some lovely goodies from Zeus & Zoe Etsy store. This lay-out is a tribute to my mom. I have journaled on the backside about how much she means to me.

I used several items from my gorgeous Zeus & Zoe kit on this lay-out. The vintage buttons, the key, the piece of lace and the crown were all part of my Zeus & Zoe kit. Do you also notice the centers of my two flowers? I felt like something was missing and these gorgeous vintage buttons seemed to be the perfect finishing touch to them.

Thank you so much for looking!
I would like to wish everyone a very happy, healthy and creative 2013!

Sparkle and Shine on the day before Christmas

Hi there! It's Romy here on the day before Christmas. I just love this time of the year and had some fun making a Christmas tag with my lovely vintage kit from Zeus & Zoe Etsy store. This tag is my example for the Sparkle & Shine challenge. You still have some time to play along for a chance to win a beautiful prize package. You can see all the details here. I have used glittered Webster's lace, glittered fussy cut hollies and a metallic button to add some sparkle to my tag.

The papers, the music note paper, the Webster's lace and the vintage button were all part of my gorgeous Zeus & Zoe kit. Take a look in the Etsy store for some more gorgeous goodies.

Have a very merry Christmas, you all!

Romy's first lay-out for Zeus & Zoe

Good morning! It's Romy here and I'm really excited to show you my first lay-out for Zeus & Zoe. Marivic has sent me a gorgeous vintage kit with lots of beautiful embellishments. I used some of these beautiful scrapbook treasures to make this lay-out about me and my dad. I titled it 'My dad my hero', as - even at the age of 19 - I still feel like daddy's little girl. He is always there for me and willing to help, support and stimulate me with everything that I do.

For my embellishment cluster I used several items from my Zeus & Zoe vintage kit: the green flower, the chipboard key, the cameo, the lace and the sparkling vine in the left upper corner. I used embossing powder to give my chipboard key this whitewashed look.

Do you love these vintage treasures as much as I do? You can put together your own vintage kit in the Zeus & Zoe Etsy store, where you will find lots and lots of gorgeous embellishments.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek! Be sure to stop by again on Thursday, when I will post my example for the November banner challenge.

Have a wonderful Sunday!
