Hi! It's Romy here and I would like to share a lay-out with you that I made with my gorgeous vintage kit from Zeus & Zoe. This lay-out is about my dear niece Elise, wearing her favourite sunglasses. Doesn't she look like a real diva? 

I used los of layers on my lay-out and also incorporated a sheet of music note paper, which was part of my Zeus & Zoe kit. I also used a chipboard crown, a pearl strand, vintage buttons, rig rag ribbon and a chipboard key from Zeus & Zoe. 

I first inked the chipboard crown and then painted it with crackle paint to give it a vintage look. I also made a bow with the beautiful rig rag ribbon and tucked it among the papers.

Thank You Card

Hi Ladies,

Cathy here...  first up I would like to say that I am loving all the gorgeous entries for this month's word challenge... keep them coming!!  For details on how to enter click HERE.

Here is  my 2nd post for the week.  I have a card to share with you using vintage trinkets and pp's from my Zeus and Zoe Kit.  Pop in and visit Marivic's Zeus and Zoe Etsy store, to see all her gorgeous goodies and vintage elements available for purchase.

This card was created for a close friend to send her a special thank you.  All the pattern papers and embellishments except for the fussy cut bird cage and gingham ribbon came from my Zeus and Zoe Kit.

I love altering my pp's with mixed media techniques... on this card I used gesso, a mask and some inks to add a little texture.  I then fussy cut the flourishes and greeting which were layered with foam tape to add some dimension, and finished the card off with a gorgeous vintage bird charm, a pretty pearl butterfly pin and a border of vintage lace.

January Challenge - Believe

Hi everyone,
It's Cathy and I'm here to share my LO created for this month's challenge... which is to create a project using your chosen word for 2013.  Details on how to enter as well as a look at the fabulous prize pack on offer from this month's sponsor Maja Designs are HERE.

My word for 2013 is "BELIEVE".  I have always struggled with self confidence and seem to be forever doubting myself.  So this year I have decided  to believe in myself,  try to put away the negative thoughts and feelings, and muster up the courage to venture out of my comfort zone and just jump in the deep end.

I usually overthink when I create a LO as I am such a perfectionist, so on this page I decided to let go and play with some mixed media, using gesso, layering various masks, and some splatters and drips with glimmer mist and Viva Decor precious metal over the top of the masking.  I was very happy with the outcome... I might need to let go a bit more often!!

The items I have used  from my Zeus and Zoe vintage kit supplied by Marivic from her Etsy Store are a sheet of patterned paper, vintage buttons, crochet doily, Manor House Creations cream flower, and a some vintage ephemera.

January "Word" Challenge.

Hi, Gayle here again to share with you my second page for our January "WORD" Challenge. My word for 2013 is FOCUS, and this page represents the "chaos and confusion" that can sometimes infiltrate our lives and cause us to be distracted, feel a little lost and unsure of our goals and can make "focussing" a real challenge.

Again, the page is made up entirely from the eclectic assortment of ephemera in my Zeus and Zoe kit. You can find similar in Marivics wonderful Etsy Store.

January Challenge......"Focus"

Hi everyone. Gayle here to share my first page for 2013 with you; made pretty much entirely from all the gorgeous vintage "trinkets" from my Zeus and Zoe kit supplied by Marivic from her Etsy Store.

Our January Challenge is of course based on a word.....a word for 2013. We'd love you to play along with us, and all the details to do so are HERE, as well as a peek at the amazing prize you could win from Maja Design.

My chosen word is "FOCUS". For a few members of my family this is a  year where it's going to be very important to set goals, focus on only them and ways to achieve them and not be distracted. For myself, personally, I'm focussing on my family, my health, and my art "my way".

I hope every one has had a great start to this year and whatever your plans, goals and ideas are for 2013, good luck and may they all be fulfilled.
