3 cards by Tusia Lech

Hello,

Here is Tusia Lech with 3 cards. I created all of them using gorgeous kits from Zeus&Zoe and handmade flowers, you can purchase also at Zeus&Zoe etsy store.

For all cards as a background paper I have used 7 Dots Studio collections - all embellies come from Zeus&Zoe etsy store.

Burlap star, that you can see below, was covered by me with gesso and than I created some splatters using Indian Ink and White Ecoline.

For this card I have used also wonderful, orange tulle.

Last card was created using gorgeous flowers and beautiful laces and doilies - all from Zeus&Zoe etsy store.

I hope you liked my cards :)
Thank you for visiting Zeus&Zoe blog today.

Romantic card and tag by Ayeeda

Hello, It's Aida here with my new projects for September.

Our theme at Zeus and Zoe this month is Frills and Romance and we have amazing "Inspiration Board" too.

\

I do not create many romantic projects, but sometimes  every girl likes to make something with pink, frills, laces and roses:) This time I created a card, matching tag and a little pendant. I used a lot of beautiful laces, flowers and jewelry embellishments to create this projects. You can find them in Marivic's beautiful kits on Etsy. I added a little bit of 13 arts paints, mists, gel medium and gesso.

To create this card I started with sticking some laces to the background, then I added some flowers and other embellishments using gel medium as a glue.

Then I added some colors (paints and mists) and gesso on the top of it.

At the end, I added more gel medium and strewed some silver microbeads over it.

I used the same techniques to create this tag:

And at the end I created this really easy, but very beautiful pendant (I love the quote too;)

I took ready-to-use embellishment from Zeus and Zoe, then I added a silver chain, more silver jewelry parts and a ribbon:

I hope you like my projects :)

Hugs,
Ayeeda

Ribbon Flower Tutorial

Hello everyone! Riikka here today with my second project for May. Today I want to share with you an easy ribbon flower tutorial together with two projects I made using the ready flower. Materials are from my Zeus and Zoe kit.

First of all, cut three identical pieces of a ribbon. I used a beautiful lace and velvet ribbon by May Arts.

The lenght of the ribbon depends on what you want to do - for the brooch I cut about 11" pieces but an little embellishment for the card only need something like 2½ to 3" of ribbon. The lenght is roughly twice the size of the flower. Wrap the pieces into figure eights and attach with a few stitches. You can use hot glue, too, if you want.

Then stack all the loops on top of each other so that they form a flower. Attach with a few stiches. Now the base is ready!

Then comes the fun part - adding some layers and embellishments! I used a crocheted doily and some metal flowers to mine together with a beautiful button and a piece of jewellery. All these were from my kit.

You can either leave the flower like this or add a few pieces of ribbon at the back like I did.

Here's the finished piece. I added two ribbons at the back togerher with a safety pin and thus created my very own brooch. This would make a great little gift or an embellishment on top of a gift.

Like I said, the same tutorial can be used also in a smaller scale to create embellishments for cards or scrapbooking pages. Underneath is a card to which I made a small lace flower. The shape is the same, only smaller. You can even do one to this months challenge - the mood board had a few different ribbons on it!

Butterfly Lady Cards

Hello! Riikka here to share my second project for this month.

The monthly challenge asked for buttons and we have a special price by May Arts, so I combined the two to these cards. I used materials from my Zeus and Zoe kit and created two butterfly ladies with old book pages, patterned papers, buttons and ribbons.

Both of the cards have a lovely lace edged velvet trim by May Arts to decorate the card. It also brings lovely vintage feel to them, I think. The vintage ladies are cut from old book pages from my kit. I just love the turn of the centry fashion! I've also used an old post card from my kit instead of patterned paper.

I created the backgrounds for the cards by stamping with buttons using gesso as the paint media. The other button repeated the pattern better than the other - the rings are more visible than the other impressions from that rose button. The flat, easy shapes work best for this technique, but I wanted to try what kind of texture the rose would create.

I also used buttons as embellishments for these cards. The other card has a little frame made out of a button and the other has an aged rose. For the frame one I added an epoxy sticker inside the beautiful decorated rim. The rose is made to look old with acrylic paints, alcohol inks and gesso.

Please take part to the challenge, if you already haven't done so! We would love to see your project! I hope that my takes on the buttons have inspired you!

Wishing you a lovely Tuesday!

Sparkle and Shine on the day before Christmas

Hi there! It's Romy here on the day before Christmas. I just love this time of the year and had some fun making a Christmas tag with my lovely vintage kit from Zeus & Zoe Etsy store. This tag is my example for the Sparkle & Shine challenge. You still have some time to play along for a chance to win a beautiful prize package. You can see all the details here. I have used glittered Webster's lace, glittered fussy cut hollies and a metallic button to add some sparkle to my tag.

The papers, the music note paper, the Webster's lace and the vintage button were all part of my gorgeous Zeus & Zoe kit. Take a look in the Etsy store for some more gorgeous goodies.

Have a very merry Christmas, you all!

Tag with banners

Hi there! It's Romy here again and I have a tag to share with you. This is my example for the Zeus & Zoe banner challenge for November. You still have a little over one day to go to link up your entry. There are two amazing prizes to be won, so it's definitely worth to get your scrap supplies out and play along!

On this tag I used gorgeous vintage papers that were part of my Zeus & Zoe kit. I also used a gorgeous FabScraps crown, music note paper and metal ornaments from Zeus & Zoe. You can find many more gorgeous embellishments in the Zeus & Zoe Etsy store. Take a look here to see for yourself :)

Thank you for having a look at the Zeus & Zoe blog today! Next week we have a new challenge to announce, so make sure you stop by again in a couple of days!
